Are CJTallow Products Suitable for All Skin Types?
CJTallow offers skincare products designed for a wide range of skin types, including dry, oily, normal and sensitive skin. Our collection includes pure tallow balms, whipped tallow moisturisers and other skincare options to suit different preferences.
If you have sensitive skin, consider choosing a product without added essential oils, such as our Pure Tallow Balm. Always check the full ingredient list before purchasing, especially if you have known sensitivities or allergies. We also recommend patch testing a new product before adding it to your daily skincare routine.
How long do CJTallow creams last after opening?
Our creams and balms typically have a shelf life of around 6 to 12 months after opening, depending on the product. Always check the packaging for the relevant period-after-opening guidance and any specific storage instructions.
To help maintain freshness, store your tallow moisturiser in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Use clean, dry hands or a clean spatula when removing the product to help prevent contamination.
Because tallow-based skincare contains natural ingredients, proper storage and handling are important for maintaining product quality.
Why does CJTallow use plastic tubs instead of glass jars?
We previously packaged some products in glass jars. However, following customer feedback about the amount of bubble wrap needed to protect glass during delivery, we moved certain products to recyclable, food-grade plastic tubs.
This change helps reduce the protective packaging needed for shipping fragile containers. We understand that packaging matters, and we continue to consider ways to balance product protection, convenience and waste reduction.
Once you have finished a product, remove any remaining cream with tissue paper and check your local recycling guidance before disposing of the clean tub. Recycling rules can vary depending on the material and your local council. You may also choose to reuse the tub for small household items, provided it is thoroughly cleaned and suitable for that purpose.
Why does my Tallow cream look messy?
You may notice that the surface of your CJTallow cream does not look perfectly smooth or professionally piped. There is a simple reason for this.
Instead of using disposable piping bags to fill our recyclable food-grade plastic tubs, we use a silicone spatula. This allows us to fill each container without relying on additional single-use plastic tools.
Our focus is on the product inside the tub rather than creating a perfectly decorative finish. As our skincare is handmade, the appearance and texture may also vary slightly between batches.
A less polished surface does not automatically mean that the product is faulty. However, if you notice an unusual smell, unexpected changes in texture or signs of contamination, please contact us before using it.
For orders fulfilled through Amazon, we may also include a sample in a small plastic bag and a paper insert with our contact details. Where soft-plastic collection schemes are available, some larger UK supermarkets, including participating Tesco stores, may accept certain plastic bags. Check local facilities for current guidance.
Are CJTallow ingredients really organic?
We are committed to sourcing certified organic ingredients for our products and prioritising responsible, ethical sourcing wherever possible.
Our tallow skincare range features organic grass-fed beef tallow, which we use as a key ingredient in selected balms and moisturisers. The natural properties of tallow make it a popular choice for people looking for an alternative to conventional skincare products.
As ingredients come from natural sources, their appearance can vary. We aim to be transparent about our sourcing and encourage customers to read individual product descriptions and ingredient lists to understand exactly what each product contains.
Why is the colour of my Tallow Cream different from my previous order?
A slight colour difference between batches can be normal in skincare made with natural ingredients.
Our organic grass-fed tallow comes from an agricultural source, and its characteristics can change with the seasons, the animals’ diets and their grazing conditions. During summer, fresh grass is often more readily available. In winter, grazing conditions can be more challenging, and cattle may be moved between fields or fed differently.
These seasonal differences can influence the colour and consistency of the rendered tallow. Other botanical ingredients may also contribute to variations in the finished product.
We do not aim to make every batch look identical by relying on artificial colourants. However, colour variation alone cannot confirm that a product is safe or suitable to use. If the change is accompanied by an unusual odour, unexpected texture or other signs of spoilage, please stop using the product and contact us.
What is CJTallow’s return policy?
Your satisfaction matters to us. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact CJTallow within 30 days of purchase to discuss a refund or exchange, subject to the applicable returns terms and consumer rights.
